The increasing frequency and strength of natural disasters around the world has created the need to temporarily house large numbers of victims with little notice and minimal expense.
PopShelter is an ultralightweight, easily assembled shelter construction that can be flat-packed and air-dropped in large quantities. Not only does the structure offer protection against the elements, but also considers the mental well-being of the victims with interior colors that are recognized for their ability to lift the human spirit. Made from waxed corrugated cardboard, the structure is waterproof and easily recyclable, thus minimizing the sort of environmental impact that contributes to natural disasters in the first place.
