We were approached by an Italian family who owned a water source in continuous use since the fourth century b.c. Their brief was to create a new ultra-premium high end water from the same source as another of their products. The challenge then became how to create a true difference beyond just packaging cues.

The solution was to modify a portion of their bottling facilities to produce this line in complete darkness with the goal of allowing the customer sitting at a dining table the experience of exposing this water to light for the first time in millennia.

The opaque bottle, its form and the exaggerated neck seal all reinforce this experience, in addition to allowing the bottle to be reused for decorative purposes.
